Fashionable comic, Mr Macaroni has given causes he rejected Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s invitation for a peace stroll in Lagos State.
Sanwo-Olu in a speech on Tuesday on the Lekki shootings of October 20, 2020, mentioned, he can be main a Stroll for Peace in December to herald the therapeutic of our land.
The Governor who invited Falana, Adebayo, Dele Farotimi, Temitope Majekodunmi, Segun Awosanya (Segalink), Adedotun (Simply Detoun), Seun Kuti; Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu; and Commander of Speedy Response Squad CSP Yinka Egbeyemi was quoted as saying “Let me use this event to increase an open invitation to our youths, members of the diplomatic corps, civil society teams, college students and the media in addition to different stakeholders to hitch me.”
However Macaroni, in a tweet on Tuesday, mentioned he declined the invitation as a result of advice made by the Lagos State panel on Finish SARS has not been applied.
“ I humbly decline the Invitation of Mr Governor. The Authorities themselves arrange a panel. The panel has made suggestions. I imagine that real peacemaking will start by first implementing the suggestions of the panel. Then we are able to start to belief the federal government.
“Lastly, I’m not at conflict with anybody. Not with the Authorities, police or politicians.
“All we’re asking is that our leaders place worth on our lives as residents and lead us with love, equity, reality and justice, to allow all Nigerians dwell a greater life in peace and unity.”
