Football

Morata came on as a sub to score one of the two consolation goals as Chelsea went down to a 2-3 defeat to Burnley at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea had one man sent off in each half to finish the game with 9 men. Cahill was sent off earlier in the first half for a red card offence while Fabregas had a second yellow late in the second half.

At half time, Burnley were already 3 goals up with goals from Vokes (2) and Wards (1) just enough to secure a win for the visitors in the opening match of the season.

Morata pulled one back in the second half when he came on as a substitute for Batschuayi while David Luiz completed the consolation in a 5 goal thriller.

Elsewhere, Rooney scored the only goal to lift Everton ahead of Stoke City while newcomer Huddersfield shocked Crystal Palace beating them 3-0 at Selhurst Park.
